Shenzhen holds the Huaqiangbei component market, the world's largest concentration of factories for phone accessories, audio, LED lighting, batteries and connected products, and the ports of Yantian and Shekou. That means the supplier you talk to is usually the one who controls the production line, and that we can visit the plant before you pay.

When a product fits none of them, or when the right cluster sits outside Guangdong, we say so and work the route that applies.

Certification requirements depend on the category. A passive low-voltage accessory has limited requirements; any product with a lithium battery, a wireless function or a power supply falls into regulated categories and may require mandatory certification in the destination country, such as NOM in Mexico or Inmetro and ANATEL in Brazil. Transporting lithium also always requires the UN38.3 report and the safety data sheet, independently of product certification.

The minimum order quantity varies widely by category. In phone accessories the minimum is usually between 100 and 500 units per reference and drops if you accept neutral packaging. In TWS earbuds, batteries and electrical appliances the usual minimum is 500 to 2,000 units, because there is more tooling and more customised components. In components and board assembly we can work from prototype quantities.

Intellectual property is protected with a non-disclosure agreement signed before drawings or specifications are shared, with mould ownership documented in your name where there is tooling, and by avoiding concentrating the whole project in a single supplier when the product is easy to copy. We are honest about the limit: in consumer electronics, a successful product gets copied sooner or later. Real protection sits in the brand, the distribution and the speed, not only in the contract.

We can start from a product the factory has already developed and customise it with your brand and packaging, or develop from scratch with your own mould. In electronic products, development from scratch adds board design, firmware and certification, and changes the order of magnitude of the budget; it is worth estimating before you decide.
